All About Me
My name is Lola and I'm based in Cape Town, South Africa. From a young age I was incredibly curious about humankind, constantly asking questions as to why we are the way we are. My childhood consisted of art, play, music, dance, stories, rituals and meditation. Little did I know that these seeds would blossom into my growing passions and continual curiosity.

After finishing school. I knew I wanted to travel and receive my yoga teacher training certification. I worked my first jobs and then solo travelled to Bali for 2 months to embark on this journey. Here I found community, witnessed a beautiful culture, made friends from all over the world, received valuable knowledge and found a new sense of independence. I successfully completed my YTT and received my 200 RYT certification at House Of Om.

My experience includes years of investigation and participation in dance and intuitive movement, assistance and participation in family constellations and other various healing work, interest in traditional African healing, participation in rites of passage and working with/been mentored by renowned people such as Niall Campbell, Anya Mendel, Judy Bekker, Savannah and Leah Sefor.

My other interests include psychology, psychotherapy, children's work, holistic health, Ayurveda, poetry and story telling, work in nature, art, reiki and music, I adore colour and collecting beautiful things, I love to dance frantically in my Dr Martins and I think that the invention of apple crumble is the tits!

My teaching and personal asana practise includes elements of intuitive movement, dance, Hatha and Vinyasa yoga as well as including traditional practises of yoga. Human beings often practice yoga in their daily lives without even knowing it, yoga is not only limited to asana practise.

A dear teacher shared a quote that I resonate with, often refer to and love to share:
Yoga is about losing, not gaining.
